Highlights: Ireland Under-20s v France Under-20s

Ireland remain on track for a second consecutive Grand Slam after a dramatic 33-31 victory over France at Musgrave Park.

Sam Prendergast kicked the deciding penalty in the 77th minute to deny Les Bleuets victory, with this game going the way over Richie Murphy’s side right at the death for the second year running.

Ireland led 20-14 at half time but will have felt their lead could have been greater, having squandered several chances at either end of each half.

It looked as though France would punish them for their profligacy when Hugo Reus kicked them in front with seven minutes to play, but Prendergast came up trumps for his side at the last, with an ice-cool three-pointer.

Ireland travel to winless Italy in Round 3, while France host Scotland who secured their first in of the Championship with a nervy win over Wales.
