Scotland lock Robert Harley has called on supporters to be an extra man ahead of Friday’s RBS 6 Nations clash with England at Firhill.
Following last Saturday’s 20-18 win over Italy in Cagliari, the Scots sit in fourth place in the league but only a point off leaders Ireland.
And Hartley has stressed the importance of getting the home crowd behind them when they take on the old ememy this weekend.
He said: “We have a great coaching structure in place. Our head coach Eamon John looks very closely at all of our opposition and always stresses the importance of the crowd.
“We have to get them supporting us. We’ll look to use that as a major weapon against England because if they can lift each player just a tiny bit, then the overall impact on the game will be huge.
“If we get the same support against England as we have done in the previous games we can take our performance higher than ever.”
